Here and Now

Ball point pen and paper.

A star emerges out of the night sky
and I am transformed
from the person
 I was
only moments before
I saw it.

January 2013 was reluctant to release her cold.
She held back snow,
a dusting here, a frigid wind chill there.

Today, March like weather, a mild 57 degrees as I sit here
with open window
and listen to street sounds
and the trumpeting of wild geese.

  1. An ordinary moment of beauty can completey transform one...

The warm up has begun here, too. Drippy and strange on an almost February afternoon. Sometimes those ball point pens can be good fun!

these words are exactly how i feel after taking to heart natural beauty: A star emerges out of the night sky
    and I am transformed
    from the person
    I was
    only moments before
    I saw it.

    thank you ~

  5. The capture of awe in the glimpse of the stars
as if seen for the very first time
the leaf shadow like the Cross
and that cloud - daytime shooting star!
