Saint Francis and the pregnant dog
Acrylic Paint on Metal-Ramona Felse

Today Saint Francis is with an unwanted dog.
A female who is ready to give birth.
The house shows footprints that lead to a door that is shut closed.
Perhaps the footprints are from the dog being put out or maybe this is a puppy mill who's only purpose is to breed dogs for profit and St. Francis has gone inside to comfort one of the mother dogs.

This painting shows only neutral colors, three birds accompany St. Francis,
 representing the Holy Trinity.

  2. I wonder what it might feel like to be an animal in the arms of St. Francis? Safe, protected, loved... maybe something else, too, that we will never know.

  3. Oh, Ramona!!! I love this work! And your description is wonderful!

The colors are beautiful, the figures are full of soul. Only an artist who is living in such true situation really can made such work authentic and strong.

Such a good point to show the Trinity as 3 doves over St. Francis, the most famous and greatest Saint of the Christian world and more.
