July and spending time with "family"

The hot days of July are best spent near the water.

me playing in the cool water of a creek

goose neck loosestrife

White geese run down the hill to the raspberries.

My family has been evolving over the years, I never know who will come into
our lives next. This is my current family.--

Here is Bailey, her face lights up when I say "good girl"
Bailey came to me when a dear friend could no longer keep her
due to restrictions on apartment rules. She loves everyone and teaches me
gentleness and tolerance.

Emma is now entering her sixth summer with us,...
I have been around many felines, but I have never met one such as Emma.
I believe she is from another world.

Francis came to us in March with a bad eye injury,
His eye is completely healed but blind. He's a very beautiful and  friendly cat.
I think Emma is glad she has a feline companion however
she will never let you know this.

Adopted from the animal shelter. Charley was picked up as a stray,
his former owners were called but they never came to pick him up.

Charley is a happy, energetic and curious little love. You can find him exploring his
environment or curled up next to his girlfriend Baily.

Misha, beautiful, strange Misha.
This girl had a hard beginning of life on a chain and not enough food.
Some kind people rescued her and nursed her to health and allowed us to
adopt her. She is an older girl and is slowing down and is taking medication
to help her walk without pain. She likes p-nut butter and
sleeping in the sunshine.

i do not know what it is about you that closes
and opens; only something in me understands
the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses
nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands

Thanks for keeping me company this summer and for all your wonderful comments, and remember, you don't need a blogger account to comment.
