Lovely June

In the grey summer garden I shall find you
With day-break and the morning hills behind you.
There will be rain-wet roses; stir of wings;
And down the wood a thrush that wakes and sings.
Not from the past you'll come, but from that deep
Where beauty murmurs to the soul asleep:
And I shall know the sense of life re-born
From dreams into the mystery of morn
Where gloom and brightness meet. And standing there
Till that calm song is done, at last we'll share
The league-spread, quiring symphonies that are
Joy in the world, and peace, and dawn’s one star.

Idyll- by Siegfried Sassoon

Wishing you all an abundance of sunshine, good health,
safe travels and long warm summer days.

    1. Hi Valerianna, this is the same little foundling from my March 8 post.
We call him Francis, aka sweet Lou.

    2. Oh, yes, I remember now :)
Does he get along wth Emma? And, do you still have a dog? I remember one small, sweet one died, but there is another big one, is that so? Who knows why I need to know how many creatures live with you! My, am I nosy!

    3. Soon I will dedicate a post to the creatures that share my home.
This grey cat gets along with everyone he meets, He is very gentle and all animals love him. Emma has finally someone she can bite and roll on the floor with but she does not want to sleep with him. She maintains her independence.

So much mystery, so many legends in this post, I fly drunken by midsummersun through this post.

  4. Hi Ramona! Lovely words and photos, and good to hear that beautiful Emma now has a feline friend to play with! I love the way the light falls through the windows into the room in these pictures, gosh, you make me want to start picking up the camera again :)

I want to thank you for your message on my blog, I know I'm about 2 months late to this and I'm sorry about that, but I figure better late than never, right:) I've been absent from the blog world because of some personal and health issues, but I'm on the mend, feeling a little better now, and trying to inject some positivity into my life again, so I'm back to catch up with you and my other favourite bloggers. I've even managed to take a couple of photos recently, though still trying to muster up the energy to actually get them out of the camera and into the computer... Hm, maybe I will do it now!
